The Trinity in the Qur’an

God, Jesus and Mary: The Trinity?

To all Muslim’s, open you minds and let’s think logical about the following verses from the Quran and read the Bible in order to understand what is the Trinity and what is the true essence of relationship between God & Jesus. I shall provide you verses coming from the Quran so you can further investigate for yourselves and please try to understand the Trinity before making any claims and dismissing it totally.

The word Trinity is not in the Bible. The concept clearly is. It begins at the beginning, when God said, “let us make man in OUR image” – Genesis 1:26, Our? Yes. God the Father, God the Son, God the holy spirit. This is woven throughout the entire Bible.

The Qur’an has its own version of the Christian Trinity:

And when Allah will say: O Jesus, son of Mary, didst thou say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah? He will say: Glory be to Thee! it was not for me to say what I had no right to (say). If I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy mind. Surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen – Qur’an 5:116

We read within the above verse : Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah, this is a concept of a Trinity involving Jesus & Mary.

Note how this strange verse does not mention the Trinity, but has Allah asking Jesus whether he told the people to take him and Mary for gods beside Allah. To which, Jesus repliedno, I did not; if I did you would have known about it anyway‘.

Why did Allah ask Jesus something he already knew Jesus did not do?
Quran Say’s : (and God knows all that you do openly, and all that you would conceal
Quran – 5:99)

Did Allah ask simply for the fun of it?
Or was he testing him?

If this was a test, why perform it at all, when one already knows the result? The circularity of this verse and its lack of logic is apparent.

A plausible explanation of Muhammad’s need to reconcile the Christian Trinity with Islam’s monotheism is given below.

As the readers may already know, a cursory reading of the Islamic scripture shows that the Quran distorted or was grossly mistaken about the beliefs of Jews and Christians.

For example, the Quran believes the Christians of holding certain theological and christological beliefs that do not correspond to the facts. The Quran erroneously assumes and condemns Christians for believing in three gods consisting of the Father, Mary his wife, and Jesus their offspring.

Thus, the Quran erroneously assumes that the implication of Christian beliefs is that God acquired a son through procreation, that God and Mary had sexual relations in order to have Jesus their Son (God forbid such horrendous blasphemy!).

The concept of Trinity is formed by God the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit.

1. Allah
2. Ibin-Allah (Son of God)
3. The Holy Spirit, al-Ruh al-Quds

These 3 are all attributes of God. Jesus is the Holy Spirit from God,
given the name
“Son of Godof the most high.

Let see what the Quran say’s about

When the angels said, ‘Mary, Allah gives you good tidings of a Word from Him (kalimatin) whose name will be the Messiah, (almaseehu) Jesus, ‘Isa, Son of Mary; highly honored in this world and the next, and of those brought near to Allah” (Al ‘Imran 3:45).

almaseehu” – al meaning “Incomparable and unique, the one and only”.
What is a Messiah? A Messiah is always known as “a Saviour… a liberator and a deliverer.”
God had promised to send one (Messiah) to pay the debt of sin for all mankind.

The Messiah!… God’s gift to sinful man… The Saviour… The Liberator… Our Redeemer, (Pure Holy Spirit, al-Ruh al-Quds – Sinless).

Why do Christian attribute to Jesus the title SON OF GOD!!!.

“Why Do Christians Call Jesus the ‘Son of God’?”

I hope we are understanding the concept behind the Trinity.

The following verses in the Qur’an say about Mary(P) being the part of Trinity.

The possible Qur’anic references to the doctrine of “Trinity” are verses 4:1715:73

“Do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary, a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not speak of a ‘Trinity‘—stop, that is better for you—God is only one God, He is far above having a son” Qur’an, sura 4 (An-Nisa), ayat 171[2]

Those who say, “God is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have defied God. The Messiah himself said; “Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord.” If anyone associates others with God, God will forbid him from the Garden, and Hell will be his home. No one will help such evildoers. Those people who say that God is the third of three are defying [the truth]: there is only One God Qur’an, sura 5 (Al-Ma’ida), ayat 72-75

Furthermore, verses 19:88-93, 23:91, and 112:1-4 are relevant to the doctrine of “Trinity“:

They say: “(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!” Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!  Qur’an, sura 19 (Maryam (sura)), ayat 88-93

No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! Qur’an, sura 23 (Al-Mumenoon), ayat 91

The Famous Surah said in the beginning of ever prayer the Muslim’s carry out as a testimony of the oneness of God :

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him Qur’an, sura 112 (Al-Ikhlas)ayat 1-4,

In reality, Christians believe only in one God who is in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They do not believe that Mary is a part of the Trinity.

One of the main arguments of the Qur’an against the concept of God having a son is expressed in this passage:

How could He have a son when He does not have a companion (Wife) and He created all things
? Quran 6:101

Qur’an claims that it is impossible for Allah to have a son without having a consort and — this is certainly implied — having sex with this consort to produce the son. The Qur’an expects this question, How could He have a son when He has no consort?.

Muhammad misunderstood’ the true concept of Trinity, i.e, which says the Father (God – Allah), the Son (Jesus – Esa) and the Holy Spirit (al-Ruh al-Quds) – constitute the trinitarian godhead. Muhammad heard certain Christians make that there are three Gods, that is to say God the FatherMary, and Jesus. It is perfectly plain from these verses that Muhammad really did believe that the Bible inculcated belief in three separate Divine persons, Jesus and Mary being two of them.

The Bible do not interpret this word in the way the Qur’an suggests Christians do. Christian followers would be shocked and dismayed to know that the Qur’an
mis-represents their faith as it does. I certainly was when I first read the Qur’an.

As Muhammad failed to understand what “Son of God” signified, so today, many Muslims continue to misunderstand. As Muslims believe that the Quran is eternal, uncreated, and is the Word of God found in physical book form, they should be able to understand that Jesus is eternal, uncreated, and is the Living Word of God in physical living form.

There is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost is all one, the glory equal, and the majesty co-eternal…. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Ghost is God, and yet there are not three Gods but one God.”

Muslim scholars are quick to say that there are Churches or Catholics who worship Mary, Jesus earthly mother.
Mary is not worshiped but held high in honor. Let take a look what the Quran has to say about it :

When the angels said, ‘Mary, Allah has chosen you, and purified you; he has chosen you above all women in the worlds”(Al ‘Imran 3:42-43).

We read “he has chosen you above all women in the worlds” – Mary is one of the most honored figures in Christianity and she is viewed as one of the most righteous women to have lived.

In Islam the above verse about Mary is ignored and Mohammed and his wife’s are held in honor, (1st Wife Khathija, Last Wife Aisha). This show’s Muslim’s about show great ignorance in their own teachings.

The Bible clearly speaks of: God the Son, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. But emphasizes that there is only ONE God.

Let’s see what the Bible has to say about Mary :

Luke 1:28:
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee! Blessed art thou among women!”

Let see what the
Bible has to say about the oneness of God :

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

Matthew 28:19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
:

Deuteronomy 6:4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:

Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God.

1Cor. 8:4There is no God but one.

John 10:30 – Jesus said: “I and the Father are one.”

John 14:9He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her [Mary],The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God.”

Was Jesus a son of God
Was Jesus the Exalted Prophet

  1. when God speaks, God use We/I/Us/Me, but you can NEVER find verses referring to God as “They/Their”.

Then God said, “Let Us make man ‘in Our image, according to Our likeness’; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26

God was speaking with majestic authority thus using Us/Our in Gen1:26.

God said clearly “in Our Image according to Our likeness” referring to mankind becoming rulers and creators on earth. Not by any means using the physical of God to create shape of man and female, but rather figure-like to that of God having dominance over universe, but for mankind they having dominance over other living creature on earth.

(followed by singular third person verse) And God created man ‘in His (notice verse do Not use THEIR) own image, in the image of God’ created He him; male and female created He them. Genesis 1:27

And if we use Pauline-Christian logic. Who’s image was the verse referring to? Father? As Christians should know that Word and Spirit do not have image.
Do Christians believe Father/Word/Holy Spirit have image or all three were imageless?

    • Salaam, I believe you are looking into this too deep. “We, Me, He, Us, Our, don’t read word for word and isolate your mind. Be inspired by the verses and try to open up your mind.

Let me briefly explain and derive the inspiration from is in what God means in our image and our likeness.

The image of God refers to the immaterial part of man. It sets man apart from the animal world, fits him for the dominion God intended him to have over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and enables him to commune with his Maker.

It is a likeness mentally, morally, and socially.

Mentally, man was created as a rational, volitional agent. In other words, man can reason and man can choose. This is a reflection of God’s intellect and freedom. Anytime someone invents a machine, writes a book, paints a landscape, enjoys a symphony, calculates a sum, or names a pet, he or she is proclaiming the fact that we are made in God’s image.

Morally, man was created in righteousness and perfect innocence, a reflection of God’s holiness. God saw all He had made (mankind included) and called it “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Our conscience or “moral compass” is a vestige of that original state. Whenever someone writes a law, recoils from evil, praises good behavior, or feels guilty, he is confirming the fact that we are made in God’s own image.

Socially, man was created for fellowship. This reflects God’s triune nature and His love. In Eden, man’s primary relationship was with God (Genesis 3:8 implies fellowship with God), and God made the first woman because “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Every time someone marries, makes a friend, hugs a child, or attends church, he is demonstrating the fact that we are made in the likeness of God.

I hope this makes sense and hope you grow in the image of God in love, compassion and godly characteristics.

  2. Romans Christians interpret Aramaic teachings wrongly without Jewish Nasoreans/Ebionites scholars guiding them. Children of Israel never view Holy Spirit as God.

Since the Romans Christians were using own judgement without guidance from Jewish Nasoreans/Ebionites scholars close to Jesus (pbuh) . This led to misguided understanding of Israelite scriptures as can be seen when one read read Greek Christian scriptures.

They thought Holy Spirit is God as Holy Spirit being referred with the title God’s Spirit. And they thought Jesus is ‘special’ son of God as they believe Jesus becomes flesh due to Holy Spirit (claimed to be God) inside the womb of a woman. And they say Jesus is also God as they believe Jesus is Word of God that exist before given a flesh , that exist at the same time with the Spirit and Almighty God.

In short, Triune Oneness God only exist during the time of Romans.

    • Christianity and Jewish is a big part of Islam in having the same believe in the oness of God.

Jesus according to Islamic Scriptures is the word of God (Kallimullah), spirit of god (Ruhu-Ullah).

Jesus is the holy spirit from God (Ruhu-Alqadoos).
      Jesus is the Messiah (Maseehu).
Jesus is the only sinless man fro god without any sin and was protected against the devil (Shaitaan).

According to the Bible, all prophets testified of the coming of the one (Jesus Christ).

Why is Jesus from the Islamic scriptures the Massiah (The saviour and redeemer).

  3. Fatima wasn’t the prophets wife…………she was his daughter
if u wud make a mistake as simple as that one….then Idk bout the rest of what u wrote

    • Regarding Fatima, sorry for the slight error and thank you for correcting me. It is meant to read ‘khadija’.

Mary is not part of the Trinity but as Mohammad quran states ‘

Mary became the best woman to ever live as depicted in the Quran in the verses 3:42:

“And (remember) when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah (God) has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the world (of her lifetime).’ ”

Mohammad never understood the concept of the trinity and actually believed the bible is corrupted due to the concept of the trinity.

3 gods attribute to 1 God.

From God himself is our Father (Creator, Protector and sustainer of the world).

Son ( Jesus, is our lord messiah, our savior and redeemer).

Holy spirit is our comforter that Jesus left behind when he was ascended to the heavens to be with his heavenly father.

All these are attributes to one God that we worship and is a big part of Islam and Christianity.

Jesus is our Lord and Messiah to come.

  4. Real Believers of Jesus believe in onle one God.
I agree with the last part about the Oneness of God that states the Bible quotes.
God’s Bible is written in parables and mysteries, as Jesus spoke to the Jews only in parables. He wants to show that He can reveal the real Truth to the human beings that face their biggest enemies, theirselves. Since the time of Nimrod, that was the son of Kush, which was the son of Ham (who was the son of Noah that builded the arch), Ham and Kush were the ones that started polytheism, God went down and scattered the builders of the tower of Babylon for blaspheming in saying there are three gods. Since then because of the change in tongues (they all spoke one tongue then) polytheism went allover the world and also the Romans believed in a triunidad. Since emperor Constantine united Christianity with Roman paganism the trinity became a main doctrine and was forced on the world. As in the middle ages they killed 68 million followers of God that denied the trinity doctrine. So these trinity believers were not really Christians but pagans that believed in polytheism united in a form of Christianity, as three Gods in One. Untill the reformation started and up unto Wesley a way was paved for the great restoration promissed in Malechi 4. God used great evangelists that went allover the world with healing campaigns that reached out to millions of people. One of the main evangelists was rev William Branham (www.branham.org or email me for his biography) that was used to heal over hunderds of thousand, revealing by God that Jesus was the fullness of God manifested that came to fullfill the real truth of God’s plan to restore the fallen human race back to Eden when they would believe Him or do rigth to one of His. I believe strongly that God was in a human since only God could take the punishment of sin on Him, since only He could come as an innocent human that was the Lamb that took away the sins of the world. Sothat His Blood could fall in the hearts of His children sothat they can live without sin. (that is adultery, fornication, murder, smoking, drinking, denying the Word, etc). Read the biography of rev Branham on my website http://www.gospeldrip.com for the many many supernatural healings prooven and witnessed by millions. Contact me for more information or if you like to be sincerely interested. God bless you.

    • Thank you for your feedback.

The message is the same. 3 GODS ‘Father, son & holy spirit are attributes to one GOD. The oneness of God still exists within all three attributes.

God is our father, The son Jesus is our lord who was obedient to GOD even until death, the holy spirit is our comforter that through GOD it gives us healing, love, strength, courage and guidance,

Holy spirit (JESUS) is the light that came from GOD and was returned back to GOD.

      • You also thank you for your feedback. First I agree with you in the last part. But the phrase “: 3 GODS ‘Father, son & holy spirit are attributes to one GOD.” is very odd to me. Look, many Christians believe in the trinity. But there are three kind of believers. The children of God, the friends of God and the antichrist. The children of God know God, for He reveals Himself. And He promised that He would restore the revelation of Christ as promissed in Malechi 4. The first believers believed in One God. Jesus said “go in the world and baptise the people in the NAME of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The children of God read in Acts 2:38 “repend, and be baptised in the NAME of Jesus. They see that the NAME of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is Jesus. The friends of God with the rigth intentions but blinded, don’t know Him more then His children and see three Gods forming One God. Confusing. A mix of polytheism with monotheism coming forth from Nimrod, the builder of the tower of Babylon, who introduced polytheism. The first Christians like Peter didn’t believe in trinity. The word trinity is not even to be found in the Bible. Catholism, that introduced trinity has influences from the Roman religion, where they had a form of trinity as they had in the Greek, Egyptian, Indian, Chinese and many other religions. It started with Nimrod. Because of the Babylonian speech confusion also the religions started to differ but they came from the same polytheistic doctrine. But God’s children will receive the revelation.

        The Bible cannot contradict.
        DEUTERONOMY 6:4
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:
        EPHESIANS 4:3
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
        4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
        COLOSSIANS 1:12
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the
inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the
        kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by him, and for him:
        I TIMOTHY 3:16
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
        JOHN 14:26
26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
        JOHN 10:33
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
        JOHN 14:5
5 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?

God is the Theme of the Bible prophesied by the prophets manifested in Jesus, received in the hearts of His children through the Holy Spirit, ONE God in three different attributes, the Father in the Old testament, the Son as Jesus, the Holy Ghost now, but ONE God, like you were a student, a worker and a husband, three atributes but one person with a name. The Bible in mysteries but revealed to His children to show that He can reveal to who wants. Share to who is worthy.

        With love.

      • We believe in the one god and the trinity is only a concept like many things within the bible we are inspired by.

Trinity is believe in one God and Jesus is the way. We believe Jesus is within us as we are within him through the holy spirit which is our comforter.

  5. Assalamualaikum
Don’t know if this is going to be posted but,
Brother, did you say Muhammad (pbuh) HEARD and couldn’t understand your trinity concept and so later commented against it in the holy Quran?
Well brother, don’t you know prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was just a messenger? He spoke the words of Allah’s own as and when he was visited with the ‘wahi’. he knew nothing of the past or the future, not even about present, that he wasn’t part of. and he couldn’t anyhow alter the Quran according to what he heard or understood.
QURAN is what Allah said, not him. So if you’re saying its part of misunderstanding what is written in Quran than you’re saying Allah misunderstood your concept and not a mere human messenger.
And, yes it is true that prophet Isa (pbuh) is called a Masih and that he was a great, perhaps the most important prophet of all. Obviously because, he was the one who was endowed with knowledge about the Taurat and Injeel and was sent to provide people with the knowledge about the maker and the systematic way of creation and redemption, however prophets such as Mohammad (pbuh) were just to rectify the errors to the original scriptures because people changed or as you said from Quran, corrupted it over the years…and of course you don’t believe in this fact but then…you take references from other verses of Quran.
I don’t know what to call this.
You’re just believing what you want to believe and ignoring what you don’t want to. You have knowledge brother, you have read both the books, you must know that indeed Prophet Isa (pbuh) was special and hence mentioned in the Quran…implying Allah does not forget to mention to praise him as a prophet but that does not mean you can raise a great human to the level of God.
Other than that, you asked questions and self answered on why would Allah ask Prophet Isa (pbuh) on the day of resurrection if he had made himself and Mariam gods before humans and he would answer in denial, its because it has happened that people had started to regard the great man as god and that is unlikely both on the part of god and his great men i.e. messengers and hence it is just another testimony to tell you that Isa (pbuh) himself denies such demands so we, followers should not include ourselves in such practice.
You know, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) asked or should I say barred scholars of his time to never write about his life in Hadiths because he knew that if he let that be, people would tend to those books rather than the Holy book descended by God, but people still did, making it today’s so called ‘Key’ to understanding Quran. Just like Christians are following the life of a Prophet, that too narrated wrong at many palaces, so are traditional Muslims following the life of a prophet, also narrated wrongly at many many places. And these hadiths are nothing but lies fabricated by humans to sell their viewpoints, by humans who were whatever but liars and could never be as great as our prophets. These books contradict everything, including Quran and ironically earlier versions of itself. I’m mentioning hadiths here because this is exactly how, leaving Quran…the one book saved by God, unchanged (perhaps because people following Islam are mostly uneducated and have little intellect to let change infiltrate their beliefs) tells that Taurat and Injeel got corrupted. I mean to say is, undoubtedly Isa Masih (pbuh) was the most important prophet among all other prophets, being sinless and all but in the end, he was still a man, who took birth, grew up and died in the hands of non believers.
Why was he made special? why was he sent as the only special one? and why was it only him who could make a lifeless bird fly if he wasn’t the god, you ask?
Brother, wasn’t he the only Prophet who got murdered? Do you see the barbarous approach towards faith of people of that time here? Don’t you think that they were the people who most needed a Messiah to teach them about the true god? And this is also clearly written in the Quran that he could perform these miracles only with God’s permission. Allah let him do so, in order to make people believe and return on the right path. He was let be a ‘Karamati’ Prophet because Allah willed so, seeing the need of the time. Also you ask if Allah was just fooling around in that verse if not suggesting the trinity where it is written that Allah would ask the Prophet Isa (pbuh) if he told us to take him and Mariam as gods and he would deny…Allah do everything with a purpose, and the very purpose is told and still if you think it was pointless of Allah to mention this, then according to this viewpoint, everything in the world is pointless. i mean, why would god create us and the world and everything? some sort of cosmic houseplay interactive game? no brother, this has meaning. We have meaning.
Still, after telling numerous times to believe in only him and his words, we have taken a man sent by god as Allah itself. Now this, is misunderstanding. You quote Hadiths and that too of Abu Hurairah’s. Just like I said, Hadiths are more than 90% lies and Abu Hurairah’s go further more deep while making up anything, doesn’t matter how trivial, stupid and senseless, to suite him and the people he used to serve. Don’t judge Islam on these Hadiths written by man in the words of man. Trust only one god who is Allah.
You say that Prophet Mohammad’s wives and daughter are talked about so much in Islam, that’s in Hadiths not in Quran. Quran is a guide to us, a rectified guide of the earlier one sent to us by God i.e. Taurat and Injeel.
Moreover, I’m believing that these elder books are corrupted now because I find those books narrated by humans like Hadiths (story of a prophet by followers among other religious narration) and not Allah and they were not protected to remain authentic by Allah like Quran is, like Mariam and Isa (pbuh) were. Also, these books are centralized on Isa (pbuh) who was a human prophet and not God, who even according to Bible is the son and not the father. Who do you think the most powerful is? Has created us? Is going to take us back in? The God, Allah right? Then shouldn’t we only care about keeping our faith and prayers to Allah only?
You say we need a medium to reach to God? and that medium is Isa (pbuh)? C’mon, who told you that Allah doesn’t listen to his pupils directly and is unreachable? Allah knows everything is written numerous times in Quran isn’t it? He knows when we pray that we’re praying to him and understands what we need and what we deserve. If you believe that Hazrat Isa (pbuh) would take your side and save you from hellfire, get you inside heaven and other nice things, that won’t happen until you’re a good man right? you know that. And, if you can be a good man, you don’t need somebody to take your side and stand for your sins, your good deeds are enough to get you in heaven. Of course, it is true that no man has ever been and can ever be purely sinless, except Isa (pbuh), but you can’t be the next Isa (pbuh) even if you follow Christianity by all heart and as Allah says, every man stands for his own sins, Isa (pbuh) cannot protect you thus. Only your good deeds can balance out your bad ones. Is as simple as that.
That said, I find you had some sort of grudges against 5 time prayers but nothing can be achieved without working hard for it even in this world, how can we dream of Jannat purely on someone else’s recommendation? Isn’t it just, trying to find a cheat and you know, chosing the easy path?
Brother, even I am not a very religious practicing Imaan worthy Muslim. I miss my prayers, do not recite Quran regularily, and don’t eat Qurbani meat because I find it cruel to take an animal to your house, feed it for some days, befriend it, and then eat it in the name of Allah but I am on the quest for truth and farz according to Quran only and not some books narrated by so called moral and knowledgeable men. I don’t think and can’t believe you wouldn’t have read the holy Quran. As you said, you took in the English language to read the translations of these books, I suggest you to not rely on interpretations, if you have and go for finding the meaning yourself. During this short time, that I have started doing so, I’ve been shocked many a times by revelations! Saying so in the month of Ramadan, I am literally taken aback at how simple, unbiased, and distinctively non prohibiting the actual Quran is than what Imams and Hadiths tell us and I feel all of us should abolish all such other false and deluding means of preaching and just go for the words of Allah.
Oh, talking about Allah’s words, which was also what said about Prophet Isa (pbuh), it would have been perfectly all right to follow on what Isa (pbuh) have had said but the problem is, whatever he told the world is corrupted now (the sole reason why Quran came, to rectify the errors.) and so has become misleading. Just like he never said he’s son of Allah in any means, physical or otherwise.
Also, I couldn’t understand the logic behind not following Allah’s own words but following what people have to say about Allah’s great messenger…again a kind of hadith.
References to Taurat and Injeel are truely given in the Quran and it is asked to look at it and be knowledgeable, double sure, to be precise about what is already written in Quran, and there’s also written that the books have gone corrupted which simply means that what is mentioned again in the Quran are the only authentic data which have maintained to remain so. it is also written that Quran is a complete book many times, so why do you think it would be asked to take a reference from Taurat or Injeel? Just for this reason. Just for us to get double sure. Again, the strange part is, you acknowledge how it is asked to see the taurat and Injeel but you do not believe the rest of the Quran and think that it is a mere confusion that Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) had about the books.
About Allah taking a mortal form and descending on the earth as human, like the other brother said in the previous comment, is unjustified and part of cultural fables and beliefs. Other than that, if god had wanted to do something like that, what is the purpose of these holy books and prophets? why come disguised as human? why show people a mere miracle by giving life to a bird and not come before us in real form?
Seeking for the truth like you, brother I’m just questioning you on whatever I found unacceptable (in lack of proper explanation, and biased interpretation). If during my reply, I have caused to offend you in any means, I seek apologies. And if anywhere I’m wrong, please correct me. Who knows I’m on the wrong path and you could save me.
    Rest, Allah knows best.

    • Salaam,

I have extracted the overall questions you have posed and will try to professionally and academically answer them with references.

Q : Why was he made special?

A : Or we could ask the question… why are Christians always going on about Jesus? We live in a society where there are so many religions, philosophies and world views to choose from…why bother with a man who lived about 2000 years ago? What impact can he possibly have on us in the 21st century?

      1) His birth was unique!

At the beginning of Matthew’s Gospel we are told about a young woman called Mary receiving a miraculous visit from an angel. He announces to her that, despite the fact she is a virgin, she will be with child and give birth to a son and he will be called Jesus. It seems impossible…but nothing is too hard for the God who made the universe! Who else has ever been born into this world in such a way? But the uniqueness of the events surrounding his birth point to the fact that Jesus is no ordinary man.

      2) His life was unique!

Four books in the Bible are given over to giving accounts of the words and deeds of Jesus when he was on Earth. These books are not only packed with his teachings and his acts of kindness towards others, but they also contain descriptions of the unique power and authority that Jesus had. In Matthew’s Gospel we are told that Jesus was able to feed and satisfy a crowd of over 5000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Mark in his Gospel speaks of a time Jesus commanded a mighty storm to be completely calm whilst Luke shares an account of a young girl raised to life again. And it is in the Gospel of John that we read the account of Jesus walking on water.

      3) His death was unique!

This may seem a strange thing to say. Jesus was crucified, a common fate at the time for a variety of different crimes. But it is not the execution method which is unique, but the events surrounding his death.

In Matthew chapter 27 he recounts that as Jesus hangs on the cross the sky goes dark and as he breathes his last breath the curtain in the temple in Jerusalem was torn in two from top to bottom. It seems on the face of it an odd thing to happen, but this is a picture for us of what Jesus was doing by dying on the cross. The curtain in the temple acted as a barrier between the worshippers and God…they could not go past the curtain. By the curtain being torn in two we have symbolised for us the fact that in the death of Jesus he has made it possible for us to have free and total access to God. Jesus never did anything wrong….but he was punished for people like you and me who do so that we can be right with God.

The books of the Old Testament & New Testament prophecy the coming of the one Messiah (Al-Masseehu) also contain many passages about the Messiah—all prophecies Jesus Christ fulfilled. For instance, the crucifixion of Jesus was foretold in Psalm 22:16-18 approximately 1,000 years before Christ was born, long before this method of execution was even practiced.

      4) His resurrection is unique!

There are so many things that separate Jesus from the religious leaders of years ago…but here is probably the greatest…Jesus is still alive!

After his death on the cross his body was laid in a tomb which was visited 3 days later by some of the disciples and women who had followed Jesus. They went expecting to find a body to mourn…instead they found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb and the body of Jesus was no longer there. Many attempts have been made to explain away the empty tomb… from the idea that the disciples stole the body to the idea that the women went to visit the wrong tomb. But none of these satisfactorily explain the transformation in the lives of the disciples who were willing to face death for the certainty that they believed that Jesus had risen from the dead.

  6. Suzanna,

The Bibe was before the Quran. If 1+1=2 why should there be a new revelation coming that 1+1=3? The Quran has Bible stories but made up its own misinterpretated wrong conceptions of it and then calls it divine revelation. But it is agains the original revelation. Watch what the Bible says and draw your conclusions:

    Galatians 1
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.

    Revelation 22
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    Bout Israel the Bible says:
‘I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.’
    Genesis 12:3

Muslims and the quran teaches and tells the Bible stories many times totally out of how they really were written in the Bible and they are thought to fight against Israel. Maybe now you understand why the Arab world is in such a mess.
But some will escape the coming wrath of God that is against His Word (the Bible) and His children and beloved. Future will show who is who.

    • Hi Suzanne, I do believe your are reading the verses out of context. Let me try to explain :

      Galatians 1-8-9 is explaining :

Churches was told then, as we are today, that there is no other Gospel than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And if any man, or angel, dares to preach another, the Scripture says “let him be accursed”

Revelations 22:18-19 is talking about a warning concerns those who would deliberately tamper with the actual written words of this book. They are the ones who could not be saved and thus will not enjoy the blessings set forth for the redeemed.

In contrast, the warning of Revelation 22:18-19 is directed to unbelievers, who, rather than change their hearts toward God, attempt to change God’s Word to suit themselves.

  7. If you’re familiar with genesis chapter 12:1-3, then you know this is God speaking to Abraham.

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (1-3)

  8. Suzanne, Open your heart and mind. Regarding 1+1=3 is not a new revelation, but rather a concept of a son of man who came from God himself as the holy spirit was poured within Virgin Mary and abide within her.

Their is still the oneness of God but try to understand the concept and allow yourself to be inspired by it and be led by the spirit of truth.

Their is one being God, but three in persons. Just like the concept of Water becoming Ice and Ice becoming steam when heated up.

Using the same concept of God being 1 being but three in person, which is God, Son and Holy spirit.

I hope this makes sense and God bless you my dear and your family.
